Love And Liberty
I come from a town, somewhere without fear.
This symphony of conviction must be sung for every doubtful ear.
Live in love and guide your peers.
Everyone is a sage and everyone is a seer.
Our country is authoritarian despite the new dispensation.
Politics is a mere power play sweetened with affectation.
42 tribes with 30 obscure is a curious aggregation.
A thinker and more so a poet must be free of affiliation.
Opportunism is my people's most uncanny adaptation.
And acquiescing to power in pretensious adulation.
Long is the journey to cohesion and reconciliation.
Blood is thicker than water and tolerance must be our amelioration.
Faith is our edifice and our only consolation.
Free speech must be free of prejudice and connotation.
Life must be freed of greed and desperation.
Math is for my soul and poetry is for expressing exasperation.
I call to freedom without hesitation.
And thrive on simple logic yet a strong meditation.
Political correctness is the illegitimate child of fettered contemplation.
Poetry must be candid, critical and free of execration.
Everything useful takes too long to procure.
I must be free of materialism and it's strange allure.
A king must be firm and the saint must be demure.
Prosperity will mobilise and poverty will inure.
Hatred will condemn and justice will insure.
In this game-theoretic world we must see and endure.
Love must be constant, positive and pure.
Save the children and make them feel secure.
I went to the woods for solitude is lucid and bright.
All we need is love to fight the good fight.
Look into your soul and set your resentments right.
Faith will redeem and malice will indict.
