Simply African

I search frantically for the point where all knowledge meets,

Where all attempts become feats,

Where chaos and strife reteat,

Where dictators citizens strategically unseat,

Where the unsure insurgent rejects retreat,

Where crusading slave-traders are sunk by the fleet,

Where futilty and mastery uncomfortably greet,

Where proud history will culminate and repeat,

Where our stormy past will become elegant and neat,

Where favour will outweigh the need to cheat,

Where the cool waters will assuage the harshness of the heat,

Where pure intentions will mould our heart beats,

Where the sick and frail become lively and upbeat,

Where everyone counts and everyone assists,

Where there is retribution when injusice persists,

Where arguments aren't settled with curses or fists,

Where being happy is the only thing on our bucket list,

Where my warm smile drenches the morning mist.

Where the the punchline and the headline form the gist,

Where people don't care for warring for land and beasts,

Where money and power matter the least,

Where we are the bread and God's love the yeast.
